My own personal insufficiency towards being faithful makes me stop to gaze in awe of the absolute security of the faithfulness of God. Apart from God’s being faithful, I wouldn’t be writing this today. I can’t imagine if it had been up to me or my faithfulness where I would be right now. In fact, getting through today will take more than my faithfulness, but the all sufficient faithfulness of God Himself.

“Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy. To God our Savior, Who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, Dominion and power, both now and forevermore. Amen.”
Jude 1:24-25
Hosea 2:19-20, I will betroth you to Me Forever, Yes, I will betroth you to Me in Righteousness and justice, in Loving kindness and mercy; I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness and you will KNOW the LORD. bind, commit, contract, engage, espouse, make compact, plight faith, plight troth, promise, vow – These are some of the synonyms for the word betroth. The Lord binds us to Himself in covenant. Commits to us in full devotion and promises in vow to carry us across the threshold of eternity we could never enter apart from His grace. He daily carries across that same doorway of our own humanity to allow to us live above our circumstances, apart from our sin nature, and in devotion to Christ. Ecclesiastes 3:11a - He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in the hearts of men.
I am so thankful for the enduring work of the Holy Spirit with which we are sealed, Ephesians 4:30, Romans 8:14-17. The covenant of the Father made available by the work of Jesus Christ on our behalf, Romans 5:9-11 then sealed by the Holy Spirit. Taken by faith this truth will revolutionize our walk with God. Knowing whose you are by whom and through whom; because of God’s faithfulness not our own.
Romans 3:3, states that even in our unbelief we are not able to make the faithfulness of God of no effect. It is comforting to know that we can doubt, yet God is still faithful, we can have fears, but God is faithful. We can be tossed about due to emotions, circumstances and such, but in all things God remains faithful.
Jeremiah 17:7 -8, blessed is the man (woman) who trusts in the LORD, and whose hope is in the Lord. For he/she shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes. But its leaf will be green and will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit.
