As we spend another Christmas
Celebrating once again
The blessed birth of Jesus
With family and with friends
We all can get so busy
Sometimes we fail to see
We shouldn't wait for once a year
To give so thoughtfully
Take the good Samaritan
Though others had passed that way
This Samaritan took time to help
I'm sure it took most of his day
So this causes me to think of
Those we pass by each day
Who don't have any clue
Why our Savior came
We may not see wounds on the outside
But they're hurting just the same
This world can be so hard
It is a fallen place
And there is a blessed hope in Jesus
We need to give away
It didn't cost us one thing
But it is the most valuable gift
That we could give this Christmas
And throughout the year
For Jesus knew the secret
To life we need to learn
It is in giving we are blessed
And in dying we find life
So remember, and I will, too
As we start this year new
To share the gospel of Jesus Christ
In everything you do!
